Countryside wonders

When I was at home a few weeks ago I had a firm date in the diary for one of my oldest friends. He's one of those people that every time I see him, no matter how long since the last time, we click straight back and I feel like I'm constantly laughing when I'm around him. Oh and eating. There is always a lot of food involved! This time was no different. We headed to the infamous Jimmy's Farm for lunch, played with the animals, acted like small children (I've known I'm since I was 4 so it doesn't matter that we're now both 23…) and finished our day with a Simsmiths g&t. A pretty perfect day and I think the photos say it all!

You can check out Jimmy's Farm here and the restaurant always has some great options on the menu!

Bye March, Hey April

I managed to miss a whole month of blogging! That's quite impressive! But its been a ridiculously busy month so I do have an excuse. I'm currently in the midst of dissertation madness with 2 to write before the beginning of May. 12,000 words and 2 lots of research is my life right now. As I sit in the library researching male prostitutes and the female nude (oh art history my internet history is going to be oh so interesting!!) I thought I'd share a few of my Instagram photos from the last month…

Making decorations for the party… so simple and so effective. Pompoms may well be my new therapy!

I finally got to visit the sea life centre… this little beauty was my favourite! Well worth a visit if you're in Brighton.

Sunny mornings heading to work at Bills in Lewes

March was my birthday month and sparkles from mummy are still making me smile now <3

Uni work, prosecco and blossom on the green at home in the countryside

Party outfit prepping
The garden had a makeover...
And of course the house too!

Macaroon munching… so spoilt by all of my lovely girlies!

And party posing with my gorgeous housemate.

My home girlies headed down and we played on the slot machines and ate more cake than should be possible at Blackbird tearooms.

When all the celebrations were over I enjoyed seeing the blossom burst onto the trees and the flowers on show everywhere. Spring may just be here!

Which of course means a bit of clothes shopping right?

This is a big deal. My fridge has been empty for weeks and I've been feeling very uninspired with cooking. Fingers crossed an Ocado delivery will help slightly. So. Much. Food.
And then last week Sarah came to play. We did a trashy club night which was a fundraiser for the American Football boys. Such a fun night as the hangovers the next day only served to remind us!

And the stolen champagne glasses and silk Hermes tie… whoops!

And now we're here…

Party Planning Inspiration

I turn 23 in a few weeks. Seriously oldddddd! I've decided the only way to deal with this is to embrace it totally so we're throwing a house party. My housemate and I have birthdays a couple of weeks apart so we've picked a date and are party planning! We've decided to do it properly and are going all out with a theme and decorations. This will be the first house party that we've had here (we normally head to the boys so that we don't have to clean up the next day!) so it has to be good!

The theme is Neverland Meets Wonderland and my Pinterest has been totally taken over with the inspiration. I'm thinking fairy lights inside and out, paper pom poms and of course some bunting for good measure. Think cocktails in jars, everyone in fancy dress and good music. We can't wait!

Pinterest is my favourite for getting ideas and always makes me wish that I had my own incredible house to decorate. How can you not be inspired by photos like these…

Down the rabbit hole, then second to the right, and straight on till morning. Party planning inspiration. I can't wait to share the real photos in a few weeks time!

Be At One

I've found my new favourite place in Brighton. Be At One have opened their newest branch here and its fabbbbb. Everytime I've been its definitely been for more than one drink and everything we've tried so far has been yummy!

My favourite of everything that I've tried so far is most definitely the French 75. Gin, Lemon Juice, sugar syrup and something fizzy, be it Prosecco or Champagne, as is traditional. Simply shake the ingredients over ice and garnish with lemon. Incredible! In fact, its on my list to go back and have another one, or maybe two this week. If you choose to visit (they have loads of branches all over the country) download the app to get two cocktails for £9.95 - it doesn't get much better than that!

We drank champagne and danced all night

So I haven't actually been forgetting to blog, promise. But I have been a bit rubbish at it. The last couple of weeks have been insanely busy and blogging has just slipped further and further down my very long list of things to do. Its the final term of my final year at uni, I have 2 dissertations to write, have sat my finals and on top of that have taken on 2 jobs for this term. Mental? Maybe, but busy can be good right?

Here's a few catch up pics from the last couple of weeks and from this point I will be getting back to the blogging game fingers crossed!

Playtime in my last couple of days at home

Girlies
In among all this has been nights out, cosy suppers in, cheese, wine, reading, catch ups and movies and catch ups with my favourite home girlies, along with the standard bit of uni drama of course but thats a whole other story!! There are lots of posts saved in my Blogger drafts that I can't wait to share so check back for more soon! And who said students had the easy life?
