Ruby's

A night that started with catch ups, then came cocktails and that ended with toast. My kind of perfection!

A couple of weeks ago I headed to Ruby's in Dalston to celebrate Yasmin's 21st birthday.

Set underneath the cinema sign at 76 Stoke Newington Road, Ruby's is intimate and unusual: Mayfair cocktails meets East London atmosphere. Chilled, cool and interesting with incredible cocktails. Alcohol is premium and the small touches are perfect. Try the blackberry mojito served in a 1940s milk bottles for starters. Table service in the stripped back room and a really mixed crowd where no one could feel out of play. Modern quality, traditional cool.

Vogue recommends it and says:

It's not often we delve into our secret address book, but as cold snaps call for hot toddies rather than hibernation we're prepared to share our favourite east London hideaway, Ruby's. Presided over by cocktail connoisseur, Mr Tom Gibson (pictured here), this subterranean nook on Stoke Newington's Dalston border delivers low-fi decadence and a feline disco soundtrack - essential requirements for any Voguette's after-dark entertaining.
Ruby's, 76 Stoke Newington Road, Hackney, N16 7XB
All I can say is that its well worth a visit and I will most definitely be back, very soon!
