House dreaming is continual for me. In that respect I am definitely old before my time! I turn 25 in just a couple of months and after the most fabulous year-and-a-bit of living with my best friend, house dreaming is becoming an even more regular occurrence as I know that I'm going to be moving flats in summer. After 2 years there are things I know that I want to replace, own for the first time and start collecting. And that's ridiculously exciting.

Cosy suppers
[All images via pinterest]
There is nothing I love more in winter than a long drawn-out meal, well thought out, lovingly prepared and full of luxuries. On a busy work day, however, when you arrive home from work, late, hungry and to a dark kitchen, there is nothing I love more than a cosy quick supper.
Jamie Oliver' Trapani-style rigatoni is one of my current go-to's. Its quick, flavoursome, and the recipe always makes more than you need for one sitting which means an even quicker supper the next evening. I make a couple of tweaks to Jamie's recipe (my ideas are in italics on the ingredient list) but it's one of the simplest and yet most satisfying that I've come across in a while - best of all, most of the ingredients are things I nearly always have in the cupboard.

Winter Loving
[All images via Pinterest]
When the nights get darker, the days get chillier and the Christmas countdown kicks in, London truly starts to feel magical. This is my second Christmas in the city and while I will head home to the Suffolk countryside for Christmas itself, I love getting to be a part of the city countdown.

10 Things That Have Made Me Happy This Week
So, after many months (well 2, but look at that sunshine!) I found this one saved in my drafts. A massive desire for sunshine right now means I couldn't not share it and I already have massive cravings for all of the food, drinks and girly time that happened in this lovely week back at the start of September. As we sit here in long socks, big jumpers and snuggled up in blankets here's a quick look back to sunnier times...
This week was a lovely one. A sunny weekend, so much girly time, holiday planning and wine drinking. New nails, brunch eating, a puppy visit and a little cooking sesh. Here's the things that have stood out this week...

Peanut butter cookies
This recipe comes from Port and Finn and for me anything that uses a jar of peanut butter as the base is a definite winner. I'm technically meant to be gluten free, not that you'd know from my pasta intake, but anything without flour in is only a bonus.

Street Feast Dalston Yard
Street Feast Dalston is one of the best summer pop ups. 2 minutes from my flat, full of good food, drinks and free entry before 7pm it is a winning combination for me. The fact that BOBs Lobster has a stand, and that you can play competitions to win alcohol (buy one try and win another) further entices! Street food with a side of fun.

Nutella cheesecake
I'm a big fan of desserts. Desserts that are easy to make are even better. This one is loosely based on a Nigella recipe and has fast become a dinner party staple. Who doesn't like Nutella and cheesecake? Surely together they are even better? Well there we go. Supper fabulous!

Amazing eyes
I first discovered Gazelli this time last year when I was invited to a brand event at the Josh Woods atelier in Notting Hill where Gazelli have their main treatment rooms.

The Londoners Fish Tacos
If you're looking for a simple summer supper The Londoner's fish tacos are a perfect choice. Bring the beach to the table with fresh flavours, good quality ingredients and most importantly full tummies. Fish, guacamole, salsa yumminess.

Magical moules
One of our favourite meals to cook in the flat is mussels. I've always loved them but until I moved to London last year had never cooked them. So Sarah and I experimented. And my gosh they are so easy to make. We recreate on a regular basis and it is now our go to simple weekend supper when we're both home.

Banana and Nutella bread
This is good. Really really good. Moist, filling and (almost!!) healthy. Banana bread with a twist. A gooey nutella centre, good crust and it even looks pretty. Simple to make, not too many ingredients and perfect for afternoon snacking. The hardest part is waiting the hour that it takes to cook!

Kilner lemon water love
On a sunny Saturday morning there really is nothing better than a lazy start, a trip to the market for some fresh seasonal veggies and some chill out time, pottering around the house, local shops and knowing that the whole day stretches out ahead of you, to fill exactly as you please.

Ottolenghi experiments
For supper at home, experiments are always fun. We'd had a big lunch and didn't fancy anything too filling for supper so, after a flick though the incredible Ottolenghi cookbook, we decided to have lots of smaller dishes, experiment with some flavours and make a few different things.
We ended up with six dishes on the table, lots of good white wine and candles and it was a perfect way to spend a Saturday eve.

10 Things That Have Made Me Happy This Week
As Spring turns to Summer the adventures seem to increase and the longer days seem to somehow get more and more full. But I for one am definitely not complaining. My desire to sit in front of a screen and write a blog post after a long day at work is fairly low right now and with the onset of brighter evenings recently, I seem to have had an after work plan more often than not (naughty on school nights!). This weekend has been such a chilled one though and I feel truly refreshed, somehow still tired - what is that about?! - and well and truly ready for summer to begin!
