A few rainy Saturdays ago, one of my school friends, Pippi, headed to London for the weekend to celebrate finishing her degree and becoming a qualified vet. We all adore the fact that she is now a doctor!
The weekend started with juice and a picnic in sunny Regents Park. Next up was a quick wardrobe change before heading to the boys for a dinner party. Canapés, mojitos, prosecco and strawberries as the sunset over London. For mains there was lamb shoulder and fish for me, served with mashed potato, summer veggies and a broad bean salad. Dessert was a berry pavlova. Wine with every course, so much laughing and perfect catch ups. We were all very impressed with the boys cooking, despite it taking a year for them to return the dinner party after we've hosted several times. What is it about girls being so willing to host and boys needing a lot of encouragement!?
The next morning we dragged ourselves out of bed in the rain for breakfast in Shoreditch before heading to Columbia Road. We met the boys again, found many pretty flowers, more food and some very cute puppies! These kind of weekends are my absolute favourites, everyone happy and together. We were so lucky to have Pips with us and I can't thing of a better way to celebrate her fabulous achievement. She's moving very closer to London soon so I think there are many more weekends like this on the cards <3 I can't wait!
Lovely to see you all together x
