10 Things That Have Made Me Happy This Week
As Spring turns to Summer the adventures seem to increase and the longer days seem to somehow get more and more full. But I for one am definitely not complaining. My desire to sit in front of a screen and write a blog post after a long day at work is fairly low right now and with the onset of brighter evenings recently, I seem to have had an after work plan more often than not (naughty on school nights!). This weekend has been such a chilled one though and I feel truly refreshed, somehow still tired - what is that about?! - and well and truly ready for summer to begin!

10 things that have made me happy this week...
I'm finally homeeeee! Its been a long time coming and while the last few days since being back may have been filled with work, revision and not much else, at least there is a full fridge and a smiling mummy at the end of it all! So here's the things that have been making me happy over the last week or so...
1) Getting home! <3 Yes that might be a long 3 hours of trains and yes it was a very heavy suitcase but there is no better feeling than crawling into my home bed with its incredible duvet and just snuggling.
2) A walk across the downs with the boy and a much needed yummy lunch at Stanmer House. Roast potatoes make everything good!
3) Seeing my gorgeous niece after a month. She's incredible and I love hanging out with her!
4) Chats. Sometimes the deep ones are the hardest to have and the most upsetting but they really do make you realise what you have and why you're bothering to make it work, despite the hard bits.
5) Making Christmas hampers in amongst the work. Blog posts to come soon - this years a good one for homemade pressies!
6) The food that is making revision so much more bearable. Lindt chocolates and white wine are my life right now and I have no cares whats so ever about obesity!
7) Managing to see my lovely and ever growing godson. He is the epitome of cute and nothing is better than baby cuddles - I really do miss them when I'm at uni.
8) Wellies and my big fur coat. Staple everyday pieces since being home and I wouldn't want it any other way!
9) Wrapping pressies with the heating up high and some trashy music. 6 daysss!
10) Knowing I'm seeing my girlies on Saturday for a big formal occasion which are always full of memories - I cannot wait!

10 things that have made me happy this week...
1) Coming home for the weekend! Mummy food, love, sister and baby times and a little bit of chill out time before the last couple of weeks of term.
2) Underwear shopping. I have discovered THE best brand (unfortunately its American so postage charges aren't great) that stocks silky, beautiful underwear: its classy but not slutty which is so difficult to find on the high street. Check out Eberjey here.
3) The fact that the Promenade website is nearly ready to go live - watch this space next week! Lots of hard work but I can't wait to reveal all!!
4) Having a tidy room; I needed a sort out and finally gave in this week. It will be nice to go back to uni and clean space (despite the fact that my wardrobe is currently collapsed under the weight of all my dresses but we don't have to talk about that bit!!).
5) The wool and knitted blankets that I found when out with mummy this weekend. Perfect for the season and incredible to crawl under of an evening!
6) Skype calls with my biggest sister as she chills out on the beach in India - I love catch ups!
7) Apple crumble. There is nothing better than homemade crumble on a wintery day, especially when eaten by a big log fire!
8) Christmas shopping with mummy, helping her buy for everyone and my list continually growing!
9) Waking up to hilarious drunken 2am phone calls from the boy and his friends; i was laughing hysterically in my sleepy-ness! Drunken love is always entertaining!
10) Eating the biggest and best roast dinner. They really really do make Sundays! Good wine, yorkshire puds and huge trays of crispy roast potatoes. I'm now sitting in a big food coma and there's no where else I'd rather be!

Instagram catchup
This week has been a busy one: a dinner party with good friends, baking incredible fairy cakes (vanilla cream cheese icing with chocolate and ginger nut pieces - serious yum!), prepping for the launch of Promenade magazine and the launch party on Thursday evening, lots of chilled snugly movie nights with the boy, some pottering in the lanes and some work for the Vintage Fair. I though an Instagram catch up was the best way to share it all!
The aftermath of fairy cakes and dinner!
My gorgeous niece, Ona; she really is the chubbiest little beauty!
The fash soc girls posing ready for the launch party <3
Nat, the amazing lead singer from Gamble Street (blog post to follow!) who performed an incredible set at the Promenade launch party.
Issue #3 of Promenade - its fab, read it!
Lazy, hangover days. Some of the best moments are spent with friends still suffering from the night before at 10pm!!
Amazing finds in the South Lanes. I head to Rome in a month and these are incredible little snapshots, one of those things that I was just 'meant' to find.
Another one of the things I was 'meant' to find. Brighton really does have everything!
Jo Malone window display made me smile when I was pottering today :)
